Kimberly Barry, Ph.D.

Dr. Barry received her MS degree in animal learning and Ph.D. in biopsychology from the University of Georgia. She is a Certified Animal Behaviorist. She has 8 years experience in private practice and has been working at the Austin city animal shelter for over four years. Her work at the shelter focuses on the development of temperament testing for dogs and cats and establishing improved conditions for shelter animals. Publications include studies on cat behavior and dog welfare. Dr. Barry is a frequent lecturer at conferences such as HSUS Expo and APDT, and is a shelter consultant in the area of temperament and welfare.
