Bell?  Understanding Classical Conditioning


Learn what Pavlov was really doing – and how it affects our day-to-day training. Mel will present the basics of classical conditioning — what it is and how it works. You will also learn the theoretical and applied fundamentals of this important component of learning.  This is a beginning level course designed to give an overview of classical conditioning.


Mel Bussey

Mel opened Training Tracks Canine Learning Station in 1998. The facility, located in College Corner, OH, offers Puppy Head Start, Basic Pet Obedience 101 and 102, Canine Good Citizen Classes, various workshops, private lessons, in-home training, and behavioral modification for most behavioral problems, including aggression. Mel is the APDT Board of Directors Secretary, now serving in her third year, and served as the APDT Member Communications Committee Chair prior to serving on the APDT Board. Mel is dedicated to continuing education and has attended three levels of Bob Bailey’s Chicken Camp, every APDT conference and mini-conference since 1998, Purdue’s DOGS! course, Ian Dunbar’s Instructor’s Workshop, and many other seminars and conferences. She volunteers with her local shelter and is currently developing a volunteer training program.
