Professional Dog Trainers Need to Differentiate Themselves

I had a pleasant surprise the other day. I received a package, but I wasn’t sure what it was. It’s always fun to get surprises. As I opened the package and discovered more layers to be opened, it made me think of a course I’m teaching called Basics of Business: Make Your Business the Best It Can Be.  The last two weeks we’ve been discussing differentiation – how professional dog trainers can distinguish themselves from their competition.

Well, I had to laugh as I opened this package. As it turns out it was something I had ordered from Dior (a lipstick I can’t find in the stores anymore, but can still order). But I would never have known based on the packaging. Dior knows how to appeal to its target market and differentiate!
